Lot Symbol CatNo. Lot Description CV or Estimate
3957 OGO   VENEZUELA NEARING COMPLETION, Wonderful collection housed in a very well filled Scott National album with several hundreds of stamps, beginning with mainly 19th century used and tending to go mint as the decades go by during the 20th century. Beginning with several dozen imperfs from the 1859 coat of arms issue through the eagle types of 1862 on to 1865 including multiple format. Similarly, further imperfs by the dozens for the 1874/1876 issues followed by the Simon Bolivar imperf types, as well as numerous type A8s with sidewalk margins through to the perforated types of 1880 with some beautiful postmarks here too. Then the 1882 side profile to the left types complete, followed by side profiles to the right also complete. Similarly virtually all the other defins complete from 1893 onwards to turn of the century and hardly any empty spaces at all from 1900 to the late 1980s. There is also an important section of unlisted non-Scott material including methodical organisation of revenues from 1882 through to 1933, such as the rising sun types of the turn of the century, as well as comprehensive air post stamps, officials etc.etc. A collection that does not need that much to complete, a most enjoyable viewing awaits.
