3959 OGO   YEMEN, AN OUTSTANDING STAMPS AND POSTAL HISTORY COLLECTION.One substantial volume, beginning with the imperforates 1926 cross dagger types on the various different papers, superb used as well as mint, including a highly unusual pair of the #1 on piece rouletted used, with certificate. Then further studies of both the laid and wove papers, again mint and used with the latter occasionally on piece, all 4 margined, leading to issues of 1930/31, again with some highly specialized material, as well as postal history inc different combinations to make the 14 bogaches rate, as part of the correspondence to the same addressee, many other interesting covers here, both commercial and philatelic. Further unusual material including plate number imperforate blocks of 4 of various values of the 1939 combined flags definitives, as well as various different singles, again corner plate number sheet marginals imperforates, etc. Occasionally some of the later material is out of chronological order, also minor condition problems occasionally noticed. This collection is not to be missed, an enjoyable viewing.

3960   WORLDWIDE COVER ACCUMULATION. from a specialist collector of 152 better items of postal history and a small archive of scarce Bermuda WWII censor h/s. The Bermuda archive consists of a group of homemade wrappers and part wrappers for sending magazines and newspapers with several of the scarce to rare censor number h/s in different colors for # 21, 27, 33, 39, etc. and with more than 2 or 3 for most numbers and some U.S. censor marks and unusual usages noted. The other items were collected for unusual usages, cancels, destinations, censors, etc. like a group of Boer War censors, including on scarcer p. sty., WWI with many better like tobacco card to Argentina, Japan with scarce censor tape, Saudi Arabia to Egypt, etc., better Zieher cards, Sudan TPO’s (including White Nile types), better commercial mail like Sierra Leone to Iran, Saudi Arabia, Berlin local posts on registered cards, several better bisect usages, mainly from South America with some of the usual (including on censor covers), but also with some very scarce to even rare items from Bolivia, Honduras, etc., WWII censors from better like Liberia, Bermuda, and others, 1860’s mourning miniature cover, and many more eclectic items that will surely please the dealer or postal history enthusiast.

3961   FDR POSTAL HISTORY COLLECTION, over 140 covers or cards in three albums all or nearly addressed to him as President, originally sold by HR Harmer in 1946, the handstamp "from the Franklin D. Roosevelt Collection" was put on the reverse of each item, nothing really scarce but a great cross section of countries and very nice historical group, all are F-VF.

3968   GERMANY - STTUTGART VIEWS POSTCARD COLLECTION. an extensive specialised collection housed in a 13 , mostly colored from late 19th century through to 1943, this collection represents one man’s lifetime work of finding material from his grandfather’s city of birth. Between 900 and 1000 postcards showing Stuttgart in all its greatness, mainly before the events of WW2 – much of course of what is depicted here is no longer standing. This covers the range of great architecture, town squares , medieval buildings, castles and virtually every aspect of Stuttgart life. A thoroughly recommended viewing and will keep you absorbed for hours! As far as we can see there is no duplication and it would be very difficult to re-assemble this collection, many scarce items present.
