Two covers each with single, both sent from the office of Ambrose Burnside as Senator, each on a mourning cover to the same recipient in Providence R.I., each with original contents with ALS by Burnside, one sent Feb. 3, 1879 and the other sent Feb. 28 of the same year, each with blue U.S. Senate Post Office oval datestamp at left, some slight wear, one cover with small piece out at top, Very Fine, scarce, the first cover was mailed the day before the merger that created the American Bank Note Company, these likely came from the same sheet, each with 2017 P.F. certificate (Image)
