Jul. 31 2 PM" (1876) exposition circular datestamp, typewriter addressed to Poughkeepsie N.Y., opened at left, Very Fine, the typewriter was introduced at the 1876 Centennial Exposition and this is a very early use of a device that would soon become ubiquitous (Image)
