4233 c Image3c Red and Green on White Centennial entires, Dies 71, 72 (U218-U219, U221, UPSS 643-644, 646). More than 130 entires, most used domestically with some unused as well, covering each of the three Centennial types (less the extremely rare U220), many are advertising or corner card covers, some with illustrated designs incl. Machinery Hall, music, nursery, banks, saddle, hardware, industry, insurance, law, mining and other themes, a few used with 3c Bank Notes, variety of originating states incl. Colorado (became a state in the Centennial year 1876), some with typewriter addresses (newly introduced to the public at the exhibition), some with faults or opened roughly but most are Very Fine, an impressive holding of these desirable entires, the nucleus of a specialized collection (Image)
