It is addressed to "Monseigneur de St. Sulpice, Chevalier de l'Order du Roy, Conseilleur de Son Conseil prive, Capitaine de cinquentaine Hommes d'Armes de son Ordination…etc.", there are no postal markings, docketed "Letter from Monr. Paguin Treasurer", about 9"x14" and in a remarkable state of preservation. An interesting and unusual artifact from 16th century France.
