Comprehensive collection of many hundreds in two Davo albums; contains regular issues & commemoratives only and is noteworthy for the fact that there are no fake of favor cancels among the 1930s issues (though nearly all of the high values are missing); still a great way to acquire the used stamps of the last half of the 20th century, which are probably 95% complete.

Italy: Trieste Zone A, Balance of Specialized Collection, 1947-1954. About 120 pieces comprised almost exclusively of overprint or perforation varieties mounted on Joe Bush pages; just about the only "normal" stamps are the back-of-the-book issues EY1-QY4 complete (mostly lightly hinged, but including never hinged Q12, Q24 & 26); varieties include watermarks, double or misplaced perforations and misplaced or omitted overprints including a pair of the 100L #107, one without overprint, and a sheet margin single of the same stamp imperf horizontally, neither of which is listed by Sassone. Also includes a handful of covers, among them two FDCs bearing the 31 stamps issued 1 Oct 1947. Clean and Fine to Very Fine throughout and mostly never hinged. A terrific lot for the specialist.

Comprehensive stock in two stockbooks; the back-up and duplicates for the specialized collection offered previously; quantities are generally 1-3 or 4 of an item (though we do note about 50 copies of #33); highlights include mint (never hinged unless noted) #14 (5 lightly hinged), 18-29 (1 never hinged, 2 lightly hinged), 42-44, C13-15 (6 including blocks of 4), C26 (5 never hinged, 2 lightly hinged), J10 (lightly hinged), J12-13, J29 (2 never hinged, 2 lightly hinged), Q26 (lightly hinged) and three each of #36-39, 68-69 (50L & 100L), 77-78 & 85-87; there are also 23 different corner inscription blocks of 5 (1-4 of each, Sassone €3000) and better Venezia-Giulia with errors and Italian Occupation of Lubiana; condition, with only a few exceptions, is clean and Fine to Very Fine throughout. In a gorgeous Marini hingeless album, beginning with Venezia-Giulia section with 1945-46 issue, followed by 1LN11-19, and then by 1946-47 Airmails (1LNC1-7), Trieste (Zone A) 1947-48 (1-14), 1948 (15-17), 1947 Airmails (C1-6 & C7-12), 1948 (18-29), 1949-50 (58-69), plus many other sets & singles up to $40, Trieste (Zone B) 1948 (3a, strip of three), 1948 2L on 50p (RAJ1, scarlet surcharge), 1950 (C17 & C17a), plus several singles & sets in the $5 to $57 range, Polish Corps 1946 (S.1 & 2z imperforate example) & 1946 set in sheetlets (Sassone S.6), plus additional set of imperforate die proofs in issued colors.
