Group of 49 Perak Postal Stationery Cards and Envelopes, 1880s to 1940s, loose in a small box, with a good assortment of items, and many of the covers in sleeves. Catalogue numbers are from the Malaysian Postal Stationery catalogue. We saw P1 (unused), P1a (x5, 1 used and 4 unused), P2 (x3 with 1 used, 1 unused and 1 specimen), P3 (x2 (1 unused, 1 specimen), P3 (x2 (1 used, 1 specimen), P4 (x6, 4 used, 1 unused, 1 specimen), P5 (x8, 3 unused, 1 used with the reply still attached and 3 used reply cards), and P6 (x9, 6 used, 2 unused, 1 specimen) and P9 (x4, 3 used, 1 specimen). We also saw OP1 (unused official card) and envelopes including E1var (with "3c Postage Paid" in red handstamp) and E2 (x2, both specimens). We noted some early Squared Circles also. The two covers are together franked with Scott #s 136a, 138a, 140a, 141a, 143a, 145a, 149a, 152c and 153c, all overprinted "Malaya-Borneo / Exhibition / 1922" in three lines, in either red or blue, which catalogue as used US$500. Group of 17 Covers and Cards from North Borneo and Sarawak, 1902-1948, includes a 1946 North Borneo British Military Administration cover with the complete set of 15 B.M.A. overprinted stamps (stamps c.v. $130 as used). Also two 1931 Imperial Airways flight covers to London, one forwarded to USA. Also two Sarawak and North Borneo B.M.A. combination covers and an Australia / Sarawak / North Borneo triple country franked cover. Also two Sarawak 1902 postcards with stamps on the picture side and 3 North Borneo postcards, 2 from 1904 with British Protectorate overprinted stamps and a scarce 1905 double card, also with overprinted stamp, and a 1909 registered postcard to Bosnia with Scott # 144 (x2).
