1362 CVR Great Britain imageCollection / Accumulation of Roughly 300 Great Britain First Day Covers, 1965-1995, with the majority of covers sleeved into cover albums, with some loose. A cursory check of covers indicated the majority are addressed to Canada with single frankings, along with many sets, and a few souvenir sheets. Most are Post Office First Day Covers, and note some with private cachets including makers Philart and Stuart. The lot also includes roughly 50 additional covers consisting of commercial mail (mostly franked with Machins to Canada, ranging from the 1970s-1990s), and a few event covers. 1364 CVR Hong Kong imageGroup of 10 Hong Kong Covers, 1936 to 1949, in three double-sided clear Vario-style stock pages, and including cacheted first day covers for Scott #151-153, 168-173 and 180-183. We also noted a 1936 Imperial Airways first flight cover to the UK and a Pan-Am FAM 14 first flight to the USA. We note #168-173 on an April 21, 1941 censored cover to Canada and three 1941 covers to China, two of which are registered. Overall condition is very fine for this interesting group. 1371 CVR Malaya imageBritish Military Administration Covers to India, 1945 and 1946, including an 8c rate cover with the "Siamese Occupation" cancel and backstamped with arrival in India on DEC.1.1945 which means this is the earliest date for this cancel. The second cover is cancelled with the distinctive intaglio seal mark of Sungai Patan and has an arrival backstamp of AUG.22.1946. Both cancels are scarce. Note a 1940 censored cover from Singapore to Manila with all-over back advertising, a 1930 McEvans Tropical Beer advertising cover mailed at "Raffles Hotel" in Singapore, a 1950 registered B.M.A. Malaya cover to Macau, via Hong Kong (owner paid €200 at auction) and a 1940 O.H.M.S. card (with staple holes) for employment of India workers from Penang to Teluk Anson. 1379 CVR/PC Malaya imageGroup of 29 British Military Administration Postal Stationery and Stamps on Demonetized Malay States Postal Stationery, 1945-1946, includes twelve 12c purple Straits Settlements cards overprinted "B.M.A / Malaya", 8 are postally used and note cards to India and Burma. Also includes 8 pre-war Malay States cards from Kedah (x1), Johore (x2), Straits Settlements (x3), Perak (x1), and Negri Sembilan (x1). All demonetized with a "Benta" double circle cancel and then re-issued in small quantities as required, with B.M.A. stamps. Also 9 "Benta" cancel demonetized postal stationery envelopes, with one each from Straits Settlements, Selangor, Pahang, and Negri Sembilan, plus 5 more envelopes with B.M.A. stamps over the printed stamp, so can't say for certain where the envelopes are from. All of this material is scarce to rare, one with only two known. Condition is mixed, see scans which show all items.
