5090 OG   POSTAL CARD AND STAMPED ENVELOPE COLLECTION,in four volumes (two postal cards and two stamped envelopes). The postal cards appears mostly complete to the late 1990's with postal reply cards incl. UX3 mint, UX3 used, inverted watermark, UX8 shades, UX13 mint, plus a few interesting miscut cards and UY6 preprinted. The stamped envelope collection is more specialized (identified by UPSS numbers) and ranges from U522 (UPSS #3254) to U642 plus airmail and officials, containing better items: U525a (UPSS #3268), UC4 (UPSS #AM 18), UC5 (UPSS #AM 22), UC9 (UPSS #AM 46), UC1 albino, UC20 inverted surcharged (UPSS unlisted), UC4 (UPSS #AM 20) and UC7 (UPSS #AM 13). Generally sound and F-VF.

5105   COTTON TAG & COTTON BRASS COLLECTION, consisting of 3 Cotton Brass of various types (listed on Eric Jacksons site for $200-$300 each) and 5 Cotton tags (listed on Eric Jacksons site for $100-$500 each) and an interesting Metallic Cotton tag. These tags allowed inspectors and naval officers to determine if the bales were being smuggled or Confederate contraband. Also, 3 small cotton bale tags, along with several different cotton tax related documents including a cotton tax exemption certificate crop year 1935-6 and a 1943 cotton order card - covered in cotton order revenue stamps. A very interesting group that should be viewed to fully appreciate, overall F-VF.
