Highly specialized collection of over 800 mostly mint stamps housed in one album from the map issues through to the 1940s, loaded with varieties, blocks, booklets, etc. all with write-up on pages with extensive specialization, with the varieties and errors at times seeing to outnumber the regular issues. Some of the main highlights are 1904/06 maps inc. 1ct green with antique "canal" and "zone" types in mint blocks of four, the former with the variety never hinged (#9a), as well as non-Scott listed varieties again in mint blocks with spaced "A L", broken "L", etc, then the 2cts rose inc. two mint examples of the inverted o/p (#10a), then Panama o/ps with 2cts rose block of six mint never hinged showing inverted "M" and long "Panama' on the middle two stamps, the 5cts blue with antique "zone" varieties, "Panaam" and "Pamana" errors inc. block of four with antique "zone" and "Pamana" together, leading on to the 10cts with an excellent page of varieties inc. both antique types mint, inverted "m" errors and a block of four with "Pamana" and showing partial doubling of o/p. Then the 1906/07s complete in mint blocks of four plus errors inc. '"one" for "zone" in block of four 1ct, "ana" for "canal" on 1ct used single and 5cts block of four showing missing "A", leading on to 1909 series complete mint (#27/30) plus colon before "C" flaws on 2cts and "CA" spaced in pairs with normal on 2cts, 5cts and 8cts x2, 1909/10 type I o/ps complete mint never hinged, 1914 10cts gray mint blocks of 4 (#37), 1912/16 type II inc. "P" perfin officials not listed in Scott and scarce 2ct inverted center (#39e), 1918/20 type IV complete mint with never hinged 5cts, as well as further o/ps reading down on 1ct and 2ct x2 (#52a/53a). The 1920s o/ps on US stamps include type A booklet panes inc. 2cts x2 (#73a), 1925/28 type B with 2cts booklet panes (#84d) and mint never hinged blocks of four on 10cts, 12cts and 14cts with broken "AL", as well as hinged plate blocks including block of 4 10cts and blocks of 6 on the 5cts, 15cts and 17cts, as well as the perf 10 issues inc. block of four 2cts carmine with lower stamps never hinged (#97), perf 11x10.5 2cts booklet panes (#101a), etc. There are many more booklets and panes on the following issues, including the 1933 3cts Washington handmade panes x3 and highly unusual exploded booklet with imperf margin panes (#117b, 117b var), 1934 3cts Goethals handmade booklet panes x5 with one in booklet cover (#117b), etc, through to the back of the book inc. 1914 first series postage dues complete in blocks of 4 used (#J1/J3), 1925 10cts mint never hinged (#J20), airpost officials complete in mint blocks of four, never hinged on the top two values, plus 30cts rose lake with short o/p used (#CO11), etc. The above is only an outline, so much more here to discover, a much recommended collection for the specialist to enjoy. , ,(photo)
