Perfect condition throughout all mint never hinged, complete with no empty spaces, from first page onwards of a SAFE dual album. Normally for example you would find problems on Mao Tse Tung 1951 series or corner creases on the Karl Marx miniature sheets perf and imperf, ,not at all here, this is nothing but the highest quality throughout.
Here is East Germany nearly ,complete, ,virtually all never hinged, in a comprehensive chronological mint collection in 4 Lighthouse hingeless albums. The first book has the 1950 Bach set complete, Debria souvenir sheet, Mao complete, 80pf Thalmann types with different papers, Marx souvenir sheets, etc, all in mint never hinged condition. There is even some good later 20th century with the 1954 DDR 15th anniversary souvenir sheet. The only imperfections we noticed were minor gum problems on the 50pf Mao and slight wrinkles in the corner of one of the Marx sheets, mentioned for accuracy's sake only. Oscar would definitely like these 4 well filled albums!
Collection of hundreds of mint and used on Scott pages in an album, with Bavaria from #1 onwards, Thurn and Taxis, then Germany from Empire through to Third Reich. The Bavaria 1kr black is an interesting possibility mint with four wide margins and full gum, probably repaired and needs expertisation, leading on to the later imperf numerals used to 18kr red, also four margined, followed by arms types imperf inc. 12kr used and perf with the 1870/73s complete to 18kr red. The Thurn and Taxis Northern District also has lots of better issues including the 1852 1sgr black on dark blue used and the 1859/60s complete used to 5sgr lilac, 1863 1/3sgr green used, etc. on to 1926 Goethe/Durer series complete mint, 1935 costumes complete used, 1936 olympics complete mint, 1937 boats series complete used, 1939 brown band mint, Hitler and brown band souvenir sheets used, further Hitler sheets inc. rouletted 'kulturspende' issue, etc, etc. Though there is occasional mixed condition on the classics, the quality is generally far above average. A very useful collection with much potential, completely uncataloged, please inspect.
Approx. 750 mostly used (a handful of mint and couple of covers) imperf and perf common issues ideal for starting a collection of these classic issues, usual mixed condition, VG-VF.
Extremely attractive mint collection in an old Scott specialty album with absolutely no empty spacEs from the first issues through to the 1960s, virtually everything in tip-top condition. Stamps include the elusive 1872 4r violet and 1p yellow (#5/6), the 1881 surcharges (#17/20), 1886 national emblems to 200cts yellow (#31/41), 1886/95 emblems with 5cts purple type I (#45), then the key stamp of Guatemala the scarce 1894 10cts on 75cts rose 14 millimeter surcharge (#54, cat. $550), through to the 1897 Cental American Exposition series with the 75cts (#69) and the 150cts (#71) both signed. Good items in the 20th century include the red surcharges on 1909 6cts on 50cts (#137) and 1922 25cts on 60cts (#182), through to 1937 President Ubico series, airposts with all the green quetzal o/ps and airplane o/ps of the 1930s (#C32/C91), as well as all the other back of the book, also interesting stampless. Except for some 1870s issues missing gum as always, the quality here is uniformly excellent, with colors hardly exposed to light. An opportunity for the perfectionist seeking complete mint Guatemala, 'Scott retail' irrelevant when it comes to such quality, particularly on the 19th century. An opportunity to buy philatelically the best this country can provide.
Excellent mint and used collection housed in a Scott specialty album, as far as we can see virtually ,complete to the 1970s with no empty spaces, including the 1873 4r violet used and 1p yellow unused in far better condition than normally encountered, 1881 surcharges complete, then the '1894' surcharges with the key issue of Guatemala the 10cts blue surcharge on 75cts carmine rose, unused, accompanied by APS certificate. The 1897 Central American Exposition series is also complete with the 75cts and 150cts present that are often missing from collections, also seen the 1911 Cabrera $5 with inverted center, through to a good range of surcharges of the 1920s, etc, plus airposts, airpost semi-postals, officials, etc, etc, all complete. A delightful collection, completely uncataloged, please inspect. , (Image)
