A powerful holding of thousands of stamps all in complete mint series, with very pleasant duplication only such as blocks of four of a series or small quantities of better single stamp series such as the brown bands, with absolutely everything in pristine never hinged condition. The accumulation is housed in two bulging volumes, with not only Germany from the 1920s onwards but also excellent Danzig, Saar, occupied Serbia, Slovenia, Upper Silesia, Baltics, etc, as well as Soviet Occupation zones. Some highlights are 1920 official o/ps on Wurttemberg series in blocks of four (Mi#57/64, &euro,260), 1929 Nothilfe (Mi#430/434, cat. &euro,240), 1932 Nothilfe x4 (Mi#463/464, cat. &euro,220), 1938 brown band x2 (#671, cat. &euro,300), 1939 brown band x7 (#699, cat. &euro,560), 1939 automobile series x9 (#686/688, cat. &euro,990), 1939/41 national culture fund, 1940 Heligoland block of four, 1945 storm troopers pairs, etc, as well as plenty of the Third Reich series to the 40pf purples inc. 1936 olympics x3 (#609/616, cat. &euro,420), 1938 winter charity x3, 1937 boats in pairs, etc. The WWII ocupations include Estonia first series in pairs and blocks of four, Serbia first series with key values 20d x3 and 30d x5 (#14/15, cat. &euro,360), etc. Then there is very interesting SBZ material inc. Cottbus, Saxony shields imperfs and perfs in blocks of four, West Saxony 1945 Leipzig fair seen with 34 series with absolutely the good watermark (#124X/125X, cat. &euro,2,200+), etc. followed by good West Germany with 1950 Bach x2 (#121/122, cat. &euro,320), 1951 Marienkirche (#139/140, cat. &euro,240), helpers of mankind series with 1951 and 1952 each x2 (#143/146, #156/159, cat. &euro,620), West Berlin philharmonic semi-postals, bells to right and bells to center each x2 (#82/86, #101/105, cat. &euro,480), etc. Also seen various useful Zusammendrucke, lots of DDR inc. 1955 Schiller souvenir sheet x9, Saar flood relief semi-postals and airpost in pairs, Germany year sets starting in 1956 and complete from 1980 through 1999, etc, etc. An immaculate holding of easy-selling premium material, an opportunity for a dealer to replenish stocks inexpensively.
A thoroughly original holding of mostly mint 'zusammendrucke' tete-beche, se-tenants, gutter pairs, etc, with over 2500 stamps predominantly Third Reich, however beginning from the 1912 Germanias onwards with important material, housed in one volume. There is light duplication throughout, usually no more than four of five of each, with most of the mint being never hinged, as well as some very good used material. Highlights in the Germanias include 5pf with X label mint (Mi#W1), 71/2+5pf mint (#W6), 5+10pf mint never hinged x2 (#W7), scarce 10+15pf rose red and black violet mint (#W12fb), 15+10pf x2 mint (#W13), vertical 10+5pf pairs inc. rose shade mint (#S5fa), group of 'automatenrollen' 2 1/2+7 1/2pf combinations all never hinged, through to the #RL numbers with double margins also all never hinged. Then follow 'nothilfe' semi-postal issues of 1928 with #S54, #S58 and #S62, airpost eagles inc. 15+10pf (#W22) never hinged, 15pf Kant with X label x3 mint (#W23), leading on to a good range of 1927/28 Hindenburgs, 1933 Hindenburgs inc. 6+8pf tete-beche gutter pair with six bands in selvage (#KZ29.1) never hinged, 12pf red between labels (#S204) x2 never hinged, etc, plus better used for example 6pf gray greens with 'Spendet' label between (#S126). Then follow the Wagner issues, costumes, Hitler heads with message labels vertical combinations with better used, etc, etc. There is also post-WWII period inc. posthorns, Heuss with advertising labels, workers and Brandenburg Gate. The condition here is generally excellent and there is much potential for finds as generally we have taken the cheapest type in the catalog with no regard to plate varieties and other Michel specialisations. The total minimum catalog will easily exceed &euro,15,000 (approx. $20,000 at the time going to press) and there is the distinct probability of plenty more discoveries to be made if you spend time with your Michel. Virtually everything in this turn-key stock is in ,near ,perfect condition, well measured and presented, ideal for a dealer.
Many 1000s of stamps, housed in several hundred glassine envelopes, often in blocks of 4 occasionally 10, filling 4 out of the 6 boxes with an estimated new issue cost of well over $12,000 for this section alone, overwhelmingly in complete series. Then follows the booklets, again with many 100s, this time identified by Michel, a very impressive range, with hardly any having more than half a dozen to 10 of each. It is across the board with many premium from the 1950s thru to 2000s, running parallel with the stamps. Clearly the booklets have a huge retail potential as well.  ,Also seen in the 4 stamp boxes there are other areas such as Saar, Bohemia and Moravia, Allied Occupation etc. These were added over the years from various purchases made privately and at auction. What is particularly good about this stock is that it is extremely diverse. We agree with the vendors figures and that potential here is enormous.
Third Reich complete used in far better condition than usually seen, ,the 1923/33 overprint series of 4 is accompanied by Schlegel certificatel. Everything else also here, including the Chicago flights, all with good contemporaneous cancels, similarly with Wagner, OSTROPA miniature sheet and again separate complete series, similarly with the Olympics and all the other subsequent miniature sheets, ending with complete back of the book for the period as well as dozens of different zusammendrucke, all one of a kind. Tip top quality, perfection throughout.
Cartons of many 10s of 1000s of stamps that have not seen the light of day for about 90 years which &ndash, if you have the patience &ndash, will , yield many discoveries by Michel. Virtually every box is filled to capacity and the main strength would be in the ,19th ,century 'coat of arms', , as well as  ,the eagle to 50pf and then the Germanias to mark values, , followed by a few 'later' issues through to the 1920s. , , Please note that the vast majority is ,19th ,century and very early 20th. As far as we can see all the bundleware is unopened - while we recognise that the viewer will find it irresistible to open up a few, please leave some fun for the eventual buyer to discover the many potential Michel listed varieties, finally brought to light, in this old time and thoroughly original accumulation.
A last minute entry, very well filled, housed in a lighthouse album, (part of the Strauss estate). Collection is mint and used and basically 19th century complete with all the shields, coat of arms, eagles Reichspost to 5m. The 20th century both with peacetime and wartime printing of Germanias, seemingly complete as well as inflation through to the 1925 airmails to 300pf, however offset on back, followed by 1926/27 to 3mk complete etc. Then the first zeppelins 1928/31 mint, the 1933 Chicago flights complete used, Wagners, the professions, costumes - Third Reich virtually complete (save the last years). Then occupations and other 'back of the book' fairly comprehensive WWII through to the post WWII, inc posthorns o/ps. Also the French Occ virtually complete including with and without pfs, a good range of Saar including floods and Tag der Briefmarke etc, also 1950s Volkshilfe to 50pf, ,1949 postage dues complete and finally an excellent range of Russian occupation with hardly any empty spaces at all, including Mecklenburg with different papers, however the cyrillic/latin double alphabet has no certificate. Saxony very comprehensive similarly West Saxony with the distinct probability of very good stamps here, followed by a good range of Bezriks used, and again good issues of E Germany late 1940s early/ 1950s. Completely uncataloged many discoveries likely when Michel is used, a good collection with substance.
Excellent mint collection, all one of a kind, housed in a Lighthouse hingeless album, with everything we see in pristine never hinged condition and with some scarce material present. The collection begins with French Occupation Zone with the 1948/49 without 'pf' series for Baden, Rheinland-Pfalz and Wurttemberg all complete as well as all the souvenir sheets and the seldom seen type II of the 1949 Baden engineering congress (Mi#46II, retail &euro,650) as usual in pristine quality. Then follows the German occupation areas, starting with Bohemia and Moravia complete inc. Theresienstadt issue signed Gilbert (Michel retail &euro,450), the Generalgouvernement also with no empty spaces, then Alsace, Lorraine, Luxembourg, Estonia with both types of the first issues, Kurland inc. both fieldpost types, Ukraine and Channel Islands all with no empty spaces. The rest of the collection is devoted to Croatia during WWII with highlights including most of the souvenir sheets as well as the 1944 storm division series of three (Scott #B73/B75). A collection for the perfectionist.
Two very well filled albums, mint and used, all one of a kind with everything you would expect including Lubeck, Bach, NBA, the various 'helper of mankind' series, no empty spaces. The second volume continues in the same vein, this time all mint through to 2004 euro zone, as well as self sealing labels in strip format, m/s presentation packs, booklets etc. Completely uncatalogued, a very worthwhile collection with much more here than described.
