2319 *0 WONDERFUL 43 VOLUME WORLD WIDE COLLECTION TO 1970 in nine large cartons. The collector created his own albums using a combination of the Scott specialty series and downloadable pages and the 43 volumes purport to have spaces for every stamp listed in the Scott catalog to 1980. The collection has many tens of thousands of stamps and is sold complete in its entirety. The USA is excellent and contains a beautiful four marginned #2, the British Commonwealth is very strong as is the France and Colonies, the China in two volumes (one for China proper and one for PRC), good Europe, excellent Latin America and Mexico, Portugal and Colonies, India and States and much more.. Overall the catalog value must be several hundred thousand dollars and the collection is set up nicely to continue as a stand alone collection, or to interweave with an already advanced worldwide collection, or to break up for resale by country or area. 2325 *0 MINT & USED INTERNATIONAL Very appealing international lot housed in three large cartons containing twenty volumes of albums including several stock books, combination of stamps, FDCs, covers and others philatelic curiosities. The central focal point within the lot would be on the United States as six volumes are dedicated to American stamps with many better stamps including 19th century premium issues, as well as highly attractive separate volume dedicated to the back-of-the-book issues with highly complete airmail section. However an equally attractive portion of the lot is made up of hundreds upon hundreds of first day covers many beautifully cacheted, mostly American but also includes international, like New Zealand pictorial first day issues. Ultimately this an exhaustive international lot with strong emphasis on American philatelic history and should appeal to collectors who are mostly interested in US stamps and covers, but also aims to build up worldwide collection, gen.
