EXTREMELY FINE. A REMARKABLE PRISTINE MINT NEVER-HINGED BLOCK OF FOUR OF THE 1878 5-CANDEREEN LARGE DRAGON.

CHINA, 1895 Cover from Sweden to Sven Hedin on his First Expedition into Central Asia. Sweden 1886-91, 1kr Bister & Dark Blue (49) tied by indistinct Stockholm circular datestamp on registered cover to Sven Hedin, care of Petrovsky, the Russian Consul at Kashgar, written by his father, Apr. 13, 1895 backstamp, red manuscript "94" relating to his correspondence received, minor edgewear, Very Fine, Hedin's first expedition occurred from 1893-1897 and took him thru the Pamir Mountains into Northern Tibet, he ultimately proceeded thru Central Asia and China ending up in Beijing in 1897 before returning to Sweden (Image)

FINE-VERY FINE. A VERY SCARCE BLOCK OF THE 1897 TWO-DOLLAR IMPERIAL CHINESE POST - MADE EVEN MORE RARE BY THE PRESENCE OF AN INTERPANNEAU MARGIN AT RIGHT.

With 2019 Frumkin certificate in which he notes this is the only such interpanneau example he has seen on the $2.00 stamp. Scott $12,000.00 as four normal singles (Image)
