Sweden 1886-91, 1kr Bister & Dark Blue (49) tied by indistinct Stockholm circular datestamp on registered cover to Sven Hedin, care of Petrovsky, the Russian Consul at Kashgar, written by his father, Apr. 13, 1895 backstamp, red manuscript "94" relating to his correspondence received, minor edgewear, Very Fine, Hedin's first expedition occurred from 1893-1897 and took him thru the Pamir Mountains into Northern Tibet, he ultimately proceeded thru Central Asia and China ending up in Beijing in 1897 before returning to Sweden (Image)
