The World Traveler Collection of U.S. Revenues continued...

Second Issue (R103 thru R133)
Lot Sym. Lot Description
2039 og Image1c Blue & Black, Second Issue, Center Inverted (R103a). Disturbed original gum, remarkably well-centered, rich color, miniscule thin speck of no consequence

EXTREMELY FINE. A VERY RARE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE ONE-CENT SECOND ISSUE WITH INVERTED CENTER.

This is the first original-gum example we have offered since keeping computerized records. We have offered two other unused, both without gum. This is also the finest centered copy we have offered, used or unused, so despite the almost imperceptible thin speck, this has to rank as one of the finest examples extant.

With 2019 P.F. certificate. Unpriced as unused in the Scott Catalogue. Value as used (Image)

FINE. A RARE UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT SECOND ISSUE WITH INVERTED CENTER.
