VERY FINE AND RARE EXAMPLE OF THE UNISSUED 1973 2ND MEDICAL CONFERENCE. IT IS BELIEVED BETWEEN 50-75 EXAMPLES WERE ACCIDENTLY SOLD. A MAJOR FRENCH POLYNESIAN RARITY.

It is rumored that 2 or 3 sheets of 25 were accidentally sold in Paris prior to being withdrawn for sale. The abrupt withdrawal was caused by the cancellation of the Medical Conference due to disagreements related to the abortion laws in France. Unlisted in both Scott and Yvert. Maury value (Image)

VERY FINE. AN EXCEPTIONALLY RARE UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 1894 25-CENTIMES FRENCH SUDAN SURCHARGE.

950 examples were surcharged and the vast majority were used, leaving very few unused examples available. Most of the other examples we have seen have varying degree of faults and are often quite off-center.
