The Richard M. Levy Quality United States Collection - March 15, 2022

The Richard B. Levy collection of quality United States contains mostly single stamps with a few multiples, plate blocks and postal history, including a stunning Civil War Patriotic cover. He collected stamps as regularly issued, and did so adding items that he found to have "visual vivacity": freshness of impression, color and paper within centered margins, many attaining some very high grades. He also added historically relevant items of postal history, banknotes and a 3¢ piece which gives the collection a thread through history. Some of the highlights include 1869 invert proofs, 2¢ Pan-American Invert as well as numerous classics through 20th Century.
