A very attractive and comprehensive collection of thousands of mint stamps from the 19th century thru to modern 1980s, all one of a kind, housed in two substantial well filled lighthouse hingeless albums. The quality here is exceptional with the overwhelming majority never hinged from the first issues onwards! Highlights in the 19th century include mint never hinged 1885 1ct olive green (#1), 5cts blue (#3) and 10cts brown (#4) scarce in this quality, plus a few used on the first page only including the 25cts green (#6), followed by the 1891/1921 Prince Alberts with 10cts brown on straw (#15) and 5fr rose on green (#27) both mint never hinged. Then the 20th century virtually complete, with 1920 o/p semi-postals series of 9 (#B9/B17) mint never hinged, 1924/33 defins complete mint never hinged (#60/92), 1933/37 views to 5fr violet mint (#110/128), 1937/38 postes o/ps complete mint (#131/144), 1937 semi-postals complete mint never hinged (#B19/B23), 1938 Prince Louis II souvenir sheet mint never hinged (#159), etc, followed by the 1939 personalities and 1940 surcharges semi-postals series both complete mint never hinged (#B26/B35, #B36/B50) in pristine condition. Further good material includes virtually all the airposts inc. 1949 high values mint never hinged and 1955/57 sea-birds with both perf varieties on the 1000fr cormorants mint never hinged with the scarce perf 11 1000fr signed (#C44, C44a), then 1956 se-tenant triangulars complete mint never hinged (#371a/380a, C50b), all the red cross souvenir sheets perf and imperf, as well as postage dues including the 1925/32 series complete mint never hinged (#J21/J26). Accompanying the lighthouse albums is a very scarce presentation book for the 1956 Rainer and Princess Grace commems and airmails, with epreuves de luxe including perf composite sheets for the five regular stamps and three high value air posts, then the same pair imperf as well as the series of eight as single imperf epreuves, very low printing numbers and hardly ever seen on the market as a presentation book,  ,as it was specifically presented for wedding guests and those in government circles only.  ,A perfectionist's collection, very pleasing to view, especially if you're looking for tip-top quality and the unusual.
1000s of mint and used stamps in 3 volumes, following the outline of Scott though in far greater detail than the catalog with a wealth of varieties and errors. The first book is for the regular issues from the #1 thru 1913 King Nicholas series, then two volumes for the back of the book and varieties. While there is duplication here, the plethora of errors make this an exciting collection for the specialist. Highlights include 1874 first printings inc. 10n blue with 3 used (#5) two of which are signed, the 15n yellow bister with 5 mint and 2 used (#6) and the 25n lilac gray unused signed (#7). Then the middle and late printings with many perf varieties, followed by the 1893 anniversary overprints with better varieties inc. 7n perf 12 shades used (#25a), as well as a range of date errors and double overprints. Then the 1896 royal mausoleum series including 15n dark blue and green perf 11 1/2 mint x2 mint never hinged and used (#50a), 20n mint x2 and used (#51a) and attractive postal stationery inc. 2h green and blue newspaper wrapper and 5h purple and lilac response card to the same addressee. The second volume has studies of errors on the 19th century issues including many interesting imperfs/proofs, offsets, 1898 15n red brown double print (#38 var), 1fl deep green (#43) mint pair with double perfs between, etc, as well as mausoleum issues with frame or center double, inverted and double centers etc. The constitution overprints are probably the most impressive though, with all the types and settings identified, including many relatively scarce type IV examples on regular, acknowledgment of receipt and postage due issues, as well as an extraordinary array of shifted o/ps on multiples, spelling errors, double and inverted o/ps, wrong colors, etc. with often several errors together in spectacular multiples, for example the block of 30 of the 1905 acknowledgment of receipt with constitution o/p shifted and showing "constitution", "coustitution", "const tution" and "constitut on" errors. There are other particularly unusual errors on the H numbers are #H2 horizontal strip of 3 imperf vert, #H3 o/p omitted in pair with normal, #H4 gummed on both sides, signed, etc, through to the later postage dues inc. 1907 10pa violet (#J20) marginal block of four gummed both sides, 1913 5pa gray green (#J23) pair imperf between, etc, etc. Another interesting area is the unissued/essay material inc. laureated head series of twelve perforated to 5per along with imperfs to the 50pa, unissued acknowledgment of receipt and postage dues, as well as private semi-postals for the WWI red cross. This description at least gives only gives an outline of this excellent in-depth holding and we recommend a thorough viewing. (photo) (Image 1)
