7102 image1856/57: Oscar 3 sk. lilac-grey in a horizontal pair and 8 sk. carmine in a horizontal strip of three, two fine and fresh multiples tied by light "ARENDAL 1 8 1863" cds with framed FRANCO alongside on cover directed to Amsterdam, front shows '5' silbergroschen weiterfranko in red crayon, reverse with HAMBURG and "K.D.O.P.A. HAMBURG" transit as well as AMSTERDAM arrival (7 / 8 63) cds in red. Part of address cut out as usual for this correspondence but skillfully repaired, nevertheless an appealing cover to a rarer destination, correctly franked with 30 skilling in the first rate. Cover shortened at base and roughly opened. Also 1901 usage of 1900 stationery lettercard issued by Konsul Gjaever, Tromsø with 'indicium' at top left, French text, and humoristic figure on reverse used from Paris with French Sage adhesive first via NORDKAP to SPITSBERGEN, then retour via TROMSÖ to Germany.  (Image 1)

Reverse with fine double arc "SHIP-LETTER / SYDNEY" cds of receipt (17 Jan 1861) in black.
