with "Customs" removed cds. Returned to sender with scarce "RETURNED TO SENDER" bilingual cachet. Transit Shanghai (14 Dec) with dollar cds. Arrived USA (27 Apr). Very peculiar and interesting incoming and returned example.

Chungking arrival cds. Showing "RETURNED TO WRITER" bilingual cachet, T mark, "REFUSE" and "RETOUR A L"ENVOYEUR" cachet. Postage due stamps further tied by French postage due obliterator upon return. Unusual returned and taxed example.
