A comprehensive mostly mint collection on Lighthouse hingeless pages in an album with virtually no empty spaces and making a very pleasing viewing. Highlights include complete William III issues inc. the key 25cts ultra mint, this example on blued paper and signed. Also present is the 25cts greenish blue unused as originally issued and the 2.50gld mint, as well as five different King William imperfs, presumed to be proofs as they are not mentioned in Scott. Then the 1892 Wilhelminas complete mostly never hinged including the first two key values, followed by 1898 surcharges inc. 10cts on 15cts gray mint never hinged, 1900 surcharges complete, 1902/08 series complete used, 1909 5cts perf tete-beche pair, 1911 red surcharges with the 30cts on 2.50gld mint, 1923 Wilhelmina anniversary series complete mint and all signed, through to the 1936/41 Wilhelminas and 1945 to 10g orange both complete mint never hinged, etc. The back of the book is just as solid, including the 1931 Do-X overprint airposts complete mint never hinged and all signed, plus the postage dues where the collector has attempted to complete this section with never hinged stamps only, including the key 1886 10cts in pristine never hinged condition. Specialised mint collection in two Schaubek albums, put together by a perfectionist collector and with scarce material in the first volume as well as the back of the book. The collection concentrates mainly on the 20th century, however there is some good 19th century too with 1850 10rp Rayon used with four wide margins (#8b), through mint sitting Helvetias, 1882/99 numerals on granite paper complete (#69/76), standing Helvetias with 3fr yellow brown (#88a) on two different papers and the 1903 1fr carmine (#97a), etc. The 20th century highlights include 1914/18 and 1928/31 mountain high value types inc. 3fr red and 10fr violet then the later 3fr orange brown, 5fr re-engraved and 10fr gray green all never hinged with certificate (#185, #206, #209), 1934 scenes never hinged (#219/225) with further tete-beche and gutter pairs and the Naba souvenir sheet (#226), 1936/42 views with further tete-beche pairs all never hinged, then the voters high values types of 1938, 1942 and 1955 with all the papers complete never hinged (#244/246, #284/286, #284a/286a), 1945 PAX with all except 3fr and 5fr never hinged (#293/305), 1961 evangelists x4 never hinged (#406/409), etc. The highlights in the back of the book are virtually complete Pro Juventutes only missing the insignificant 1922s, including the three forerunners in German, French and Italian in pristine never hinged condition with Rellstab certificate and extra Moser cert for the Italian, through to 1940 national fete complete including both 20+5cts types in blocks of four and the souvenir sheet all never hinged (#B100/B105). Then airposts with first issues both never hinged (#C1/C2), 1924 1fr Icarus and 1930 2fr brown also both never hinged, 1941 airposts complete never hinged (#C27/C35), etc, leading on to officials inc. 1950 'officiel' o/ps complete never hinged (#O37/O47), postage dues with unusual specimen o/ps on the 1878/80 3cts 100cts and 500cts, followed by some excellent telegraphs with the 1868 3fr gold and red superb used with light dot cancel (Zumstein #6 cat. SFR.2200). This collector's collection is a pleasure to describe and view.
