1940, 2¢ Whistler, large die proof on India paper (Scott 885P1), 76 x 90mm, die sunk on three-hole punched 135 x 190mm card with full die sinkage, bright color, back with Bureau handstamp "Engraver's Stock Proof. Authorized by." with blue control no. 650660A, acetate overleaf taped to right side not visible on front, Very Fine, P.F.C. notes "light soiling and small scuff at right" with which we vehemently disagree., the unique example available for collectors, ex-Livingston, with 2008 P.F. certificate.

1979, $1 Rush Lamp, brown (engraved candle flame) inverted (Scott 1610c), pristine o.g., never hinged, Post Office fresh and sound, Very Fine.

A part-sheet of 95 stamps was purchased at the McLean, VA post office by a CIA employee for official Agency mail. Upon spotting the printing error, nine employees pooled their money, purchased a replacement sheet, and kept the error sheet. Each of the nine employees kept one stamp, selling the remaining stamps (including one damaged in the removal process) to Jacques Schiff, Jr. Of the original sheet's 95 stamps, only 93 sound examples have reached collectors. 1985, $10.75 Express Mail essay by American Bank Note Holographics (Scott 2122 var.), created by a subsidiary of American Bank Note Co., this holographic essay was submitted to the USPS as a proposed design for a future Express Mail stamp. It features a fully sculpted eagle's head with a half-moon in the background. Below the hologram is text: "USA $10.75." Mounted on 8" x 10" board, the essay measures 17/8" x 15/8".
