Transit and arrival handstamps include Peshawar, Rawulpindi, Tshera, Jhelum. Cover appears to be addressed to Bhera, Lalitpur added by Indian postal clerk in purple ink. On reverse, boxed 'UNPAID SORTING' and boxed 'POSTAGE DUE (1) ANNA.' On the front, an Indian stamp (1a?) has been torn off but partial killer bar cancel remains. Penciled 'Sunar' written where stamp was.

Kabul sabre cancel and tear cancel. Beneath the stamp is a manuscript. 'tikat Kabul', confirming Kabul origin. On address side is the sabre and cross with mystical number '691' (In the Name of God, the Great and Merciful) repeated for safe passage. Small tear does not detract.
