Signs '[Kiwi bird]/KIWI/BLACK/POLISHES', four advertising signs with black & yellow painted on tin, each 30x46cm, some wear as
expected. Kiwi shoe polish was originally developed in Australia in 1906 by William Ramsay, who named it Kiwi after the flightless bird of New Zealand, the home country of his wife. Kiwi was a major improvement on previous brands, pteserving shoe
leather, making it shine and restoring colour. Australian made boot polish was considered the world's best.
