"MEDIAS", the oblong stamp crystal clear on handmade paper 9 Kreuzer blue, fresh colours and good margins on all sides, with handwritten date "20/9" next to it on envelope to Timisoara. On face inconspicuous initial inscription, otherwise in fine and original condition. A scarce cancellation.

1858/59, 2 So. dark yellow, type II, three single values in mixed franking with 1861, three pieces 5 So. red, all fresh colours and well perforated, with neatly applied "PALMA 25/9" (1863) franking mark on envelope to Milan. The envelope slightly damaged at bottom left, the left backflap not complete; the postage paid partly slightly toned or tinted in the perforation, otherwise perfect. An attractive and scarce mixed franking suitable for postage. Signed Ferchenbauer with certificate (2023)

1858/59, 2 So. dunkelgelb, Type II, drei Einzelwerte in Mischfrankatur mit 1861, drei Stück 5 So. rot, alle farbfrisch und gut gezähnt, mit sauber aufgesetztem EKr. "PALMA 25/9" (1863) auf Briefhülle nach Mailand. Die Briefhülle unten links leicht beschädigt, die linke Rückklappe nicht komplett; die Frankatur in der Zähnung teils gering getönt, sonst einwandfrei. Eine attraktive und seltene, portogerechte Mischfrankatur. Signiert Ferchenbauer mit Fotoattest (2023)

1850, 30 C. braun auf Handpapier mit L1 "(C.)V. DA VENEZIA" auf komplettem Faltbrief (datiert Venezia 1851) nach Triest mit rotem Ankunftsstempel, Brief mit stärkeren senkrechten Faltungen, Marke allseits vollrandig und in einwandfreier Erhaltung

1855/56, CRIMEAN WAR, correspondence of 14 letters, all adressed to Sir Alexander or Lady Malet at the British Legation in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). Most are backstamped "POST-OFFICE/BRITISH-ARMY" in black, blue or red and endorsed "via Marseilles", with french transit "ESCADRE DE LA MEDITERRANEE" but also a letter endorsed "From Black Sea Fleet" sent via French Post Office in Constantinople and two prepaid letters sent via the Austrian Post Office Constantinople with straight-line "FRANCO" and black disinfection mark "NETTO DI FUORA E SPORCO DI DENTRO" of Semlin. A rare destination for British mail from the Crimea and a fascinating group from this campaign.

1855/56, KRIMÄNISCHER KRIEG, Korrespondenz von 14 Briefen, alle adressiert an Sir Alexander oder Lady Malet in der britischen Gesandtschaft in Frankfurt am Main (Deutschland). Die meisten sind mit schwarzem, blauem oder rotem Rückstempel "POST-OFFICE/BRITISH-ARMY" und dem Vermerk "via Marseille" versehen, mit französischem Transit "ESCADRE DE LA MEDITERRANEE", aber auch ein Brief mit dem Vermerk "From Black Sea Fleet", der über das französische Postamt in Konstantinopel verschickt wurde, und zwei vorausbezahlte Briefe, die über das österreichische Postamt Konstantinopel verschickt wurden, mit L1 und schwarzem Desinfektionsvermerk "NETTO DI FUORA E SPORCO DI DENTRO" von Semlin. Ein seltenes Ziel für britische Post von der Krim und eine faszinierende Partie aus dieser Kampagne.
