1872, Kleines Schild 1/2 Gr. orange mit Großes Schild 1/2 Gr. orange als seltene wertstufengleiche Mischfrankatur auf Briefhülle mit DKr. "BERGEN B. CELLE 6 3" nach Eschede mit rückseitigem Ankunftsstempel, tadellos, Fotoattest Hennies BPP

Small shield 1 gr. carmine, two single values in mixed franking of the same value with large shield 1 gr. carmine in horizontal strip of four, all fresh colours and perfect (the strip slightly separated), with blue pen cancellation on envelope with reverse official seal of the German Consulate in Caracas to Hamburg with "AUS WESTINDIEN ÜBER KÖLN P. BREMER DAMPFER 17/5" neatly applied on reverse and arrival datestamp of the next day. Advance franking of sea postage to Germany with Venezuelan postal matter was not permitted; in order to save addressees in Germany a surcharge fee, German postage stamps were kept in stock at the German consulate for such purposes. The letter was carried from St Thomas on the North German Lloyd steamer 'Kronprinz Wilhelm' and is correctly franked in accordance with the 1871 rate. Letters franked with German stamps (postage stamp) from overseas are extremely scarce, and no other piece with the franking combination shown here is known. A unique piece of breast plate philately that is also remarkable in terms of postal history. Detailed certificate Krug BPP (2000)

Kleiner Schild 1 Gr. karmin, zwei Einzelwerte in wertstufengleicher Mischfrankatur mit Großer Schild 1 Gr. karmin im waagerechten Viererstreifen, alle farbfrisch und einwandfrei (der Streifen leicht angetrennt), mit Blaustift-Entwertung auf Briefkuvert mit rückseitigem Dienstsiegel des Deutschen Konsulates in Caracas nach Hamburg mit rückseitig sauber aufgesetztem "AUS WESTINDIEN ÜBER KÖLN P. BREMER DAMPFER 17/5" und Ankunftsstempel vom nächsten Tag. Eine Vorausfrankatur der Seepostgebühren nach Deutschland mit venezuelanischen Postwertzeichen war nicht gestattet; um Empfängern in Deutschland eine Nachgebühr zu ersparen wurden im deutschen Konsulat für solche Zwecke deutsche Postwertzeichen bevorratet. Der Brief wurde mit dem Dampfer ‚Kronprinz Wilhelm‘ des Norddeutschen Lloyd von St. Thomas aus befördert und ist hierfür gemäß dem Tarif von 1871 korrekt frankiert. Mit deutschen Marken frankiert Briefe aus Übersee sind außerordentlich selten, mit der hier vorliegenden Frankaturkombination ist kein weiteres Stück bekannt. The envelope has a small repaired area above and on the reverse part of the back flap is missing, as well as vertical fold and traces of transport, otherwise in good overall condition. Despite the imperfections, a decorative mixed franking in the same value category

Der Umschlag hat oben eine kleine reparierte Stelle und rückseitig fehlt ein Teil der Rückklappe, sowie senkrechte Faltung und Beförderungsspuren, sonst in guter Gesamterhaltung. Trotz der Einschränkungen eine dekorative wertstufengleiche Mischfrankatur
