The envelope has traces of transport in the margin and two stamps (postage stamp) were cut through on the reverse when it was opened, otherwise in good condition

Presumably franked with postage due, the express courier service was not provided for in the area of the German Post Office in Morocco

HAMBURG" on face and hectographed censorship label "Militärisch unter Kriegsrecht geöffnet Hamburg, 1914 (Unterschrift) Überwachungsoffizier" and post sealing label from Hamburg (removed on reverse); reverse arrival datestamp of 3 August, franking slightly defective. A scarce and interesting letter from the first days of the war.

Frankatur leicht fehlerhaft. Ein seltener und interessanter Brief aus den ersten Tagen des Krieges.
