Worldwide Public Auction - March 13-16, 2024

The auction includes over 3300 lots including a lot of worldwide philately, mainly in intact lots and collections and also as single items. Main focus is on the Finnish stamps, collections and postal history. The sale includes for example over 30 lots of 1856 oval issues including 4 unused 5 kopek stamps and 3 unused 10 kopek stamps, plenty of Finnish classic error stamps like 1860 10 kop on cover without vertical roulette, 1866 10 penni colour error (10 penni on 5 penni colour) on a pair, 1866 5 penni tête-bêche pair, 1866 20 penni double print (possibly only known), tête-bêche pairs on 1882-1885 issues (like 1882 25 penni tête-bêche pair on complete sheet, issue 1917 (model Saarinen) including plenty or rarities (perforation and watermark), three lots including Zeppelin 1830 error print stamps (one single and two pairs), over ten copies of Aunus 5 markka and 10 markka stamps, and many other key items in Finnish philately, also plenty of postal items, rare postmarks etc. Also An excellent selection of Helsinki City mail including on of the best exhibition collections in the world of this area to be sold intact (ex Marcus Olli). And further an exhibition collection of Tampere Local Post will be sold intact (ex Marcus Olli) including all three known postal items of this area.

We have also beautiful old exhibition collection of North Ingermanland which we are offering in 50 lots and including large amount of rare material like inverted centerpiece and inverted overprints.

The foreign section has plenty of interesting lots, for example a magnificent selection of Classic Switzerland starting from Zürich 4 Rappen on cover, Ortspost 1850 2½ Rappen strip of three on cover and also plenty of other valuable and interesting classic items, other better collections from Europe and overseas, also old worldwide collections. Auction includes also a great selection of USA starting from the first issue (single stamps and 10c Washington on cover), many nice small collections listed by issues, many high values like Columbus $5, Marshall $5, Zeppelin stamps as well as large selection of collections and lots.

There is also approximately 130 gold coin lots available in this auction and plenty of other better coins like Russia 1741 Ivan III 1rouble silver coin and 1839 Nikolai 1 rouble silver coin, also other collectibles available as well as large selection of Finnish medals and orders.
