3688 O   AFGHANISTAN 19TH CENTURY IMPERFS,

Amazing stock of thousands of imperforates in a well filled volume, the overwhelming majority are used with the typical cut and manuscript cancels, including much reference and displaying a wide range of shades from the intensity of the various different printings, stones and papers; also seen a variety of different types and denominations, as well as interesting postmarks including a 1 abasi used in Calcutta with circular date stamp alone – This represents a tremendous opportunity for the Afghanistan specialist, from early tiger issues onwards that all requires patience and knowledge of this complicated area of philately.  It is extremely unusual to find Afghanistan like this in such depth of the imperforates present, offered intact as received, viewing highly recommended.

3690 OGO   ARGENTINA, Attractive collection housed in a Scott National album with several hundred stamps, virtually all one of a kind mint and used, beginning with the imperf sun issues of 1858 onwards, also including imperf Rivadavias 5c red and 10c green, followed by perforated of the same to 15c, leading on to 1873 issues and near completion thereafter to turn of the century. Similarly, a handful of stamps missing from 20th century as the higher values of the 1920s. Back of the book well represented including officials 1901 onwards, ending with Buenos Aires probably some reprints although the 1860 1 peso blue and 2 pesos vermilion both four margined, both authentic and the latter signed etc. Collection completely uncatalogued and worthwhile.

3691 OGO   AUSTRIA VIRTUALLY COMPLETE, Handsome collection housed in a Scott National album with virtually every stamp in excellent condition, mostly used in the classics tending to go mint, as the decades go by during the 20th century. Beginning with the first imperf issues #1, this is a collection with hardly empty spaces save Dolfuss and Renners and a handful of other stamps. The Birthday Jubiliee issue of 1910 is one of the finest we have seen in a long while, excellent centering and hardly ever exposed to light (Scott #128-#144). Nearly every Scott number here, a delightful collection to view including all the better semi postals. All better postals such as Rotary, 1933 skiing, WIPA, the deliverance series of 1934 and all the rest, similarly all the better semi postals post 1945 including voters emancipation etc. through to complete airmails post 1925 onwards and postage dues complete from 1894, offered intact as received.

3694 OGO   AUSTRIA, Comprehensive collection housed on a substantial stack of of Scott album leaves, in chronological order and category. The rarities are missing, nevertheless a very good showing from #1 onwards. There is occasional duplication especially on the classics, presented 'stamp on stamp' for different types, postmarks etc. making a challenging viewing. The 20th century is also strong inc Franz Josef complete to 10k, leading on to other highlights such as the Hitler o/ps of 1945 for use in Styria with both vertical and diagonal o/ps to 5rm, the latter high values signed on back followed by, a good range of post 1945 again with few empty spaces. Also noticed useful back of the book military issues and much more. A collection that gets better on each inspection, a recommended viewing.

The 19th century virtually all used tending towards mint as the album progresses to the 20th century. Beginning with the epaulette issues complete imperf, thorugh to 1869/78 5fr red brown Scott #39, sound cds (cat $1450), through all the other defin series through to 20th century inc King Albert 1 2fr and 5fr with Sunday labels mint, #101 and #102, tin hats save 2fr and then, completion thereafter including all the good semi postals of the 1920s/30s i.e. the crown o/p complete #B69-B77, expertized twice (cat $650), the Mercier complete #B114 to #B122 (cat $600), the Orval #B132 to #143 (cat $1000) and all the rest, through to back of the book, i.e. airposts, special delivery, postage due, officials, newspapers, miliatary stamps complete and the overwhelming majority of parcel posts complete from 1879 onwards. A remarkable collection needing just a few stamps to complete, offered intact as received.
