1867: Napolêon laureated 80 c. rose, a fresh and fine example with good perforation, on entire letter from Mexico via Havana to Madrid, the superb single adhesive tied by claer Anchor lozenge, "MEXIQUE 17 AOUT 72" in black and "VERA-CRUZ 17 AOUT 72 PAQ. FR. B No. 1" in red, two octagonal datestamps alongside, as well as framed "P.P." in black, all strikes in an over-average shape. Upon arrival "1 PESETA" due struck in addition. 1877: Napoleon, 5 fr. blue-grey, and Sage, 1 fr. olive, combined with Mexico, Hidalgo, 10 cts. black, 25 cts. blue, 100 cts. red-pink and block of four and a single Porte de Mar 50 cts black (block torn on opening), used on cover, from MÃ‰XICO D.F. to MADRID, French Post Office in Mexico, dated 17 August, an incredibly combination, the only known cover with 5 fr. used from Mexico (only four used in Americas), the cover is also the highest franking of the Porte de Mar issue and the only cover with the 50 cts. value, this franking is unique and the only recorded example. The most important cover of Mexican maritime mail prior to UPU and one the most outstanding item of Mexican Maritime philately.
