1741 ogO Valuable collection in five Scott albums, basically it is two collections going to 1979, one marked "mint" and one marked "used", however each collection has some of both present, the "used" collection has some early high values including #1-2, 1869 Pictorials complete and a complete set of Columbians, the "mint collection" has some mint, unused and used early issues and better mint 20th century including Washington-Franklin Heads, both collections contain a mint Graf Zeppelin set, other back-of-the book including revenues, also some Hawaii and Philippines, and both collections have a run of modern mint, mixed quality, certainly plenty of value to justify our conservative estimate. 1742 og Impressive mint collection of many hundreds of stamps neatly hinged on album pages, from the 1851 Issue to the 1930's, there is useful duplication throughout, including shades and other varieties, which adds substantially to the total value, there are some better classic issues, but the heart of the collection is in the regular issues from the Large Bank Notes through the Washington-Franklin issues, in the Bank Notes issues there are often three to five of each stamp, including on the 6c and 10c values, the Small Bank Notes go to the 90c, with some duplication (mostly the 2c values), both Bureau issues to $1.00, again with duplication of the lower and middle values, the 1902 Issue to $5.00, solid Washington-Franklins, with dollar values, coils, a few blocks, etc., plus later regular issues, also a worthwhile group of early commemoratives and some back-of-the-book issues, the early issues are a mix of o.g. and no gum stamps, later nearly all o.g., a large percentage of the lot is in fine-very fine condition; overall an exceptionally fresh and clean lot that should represent high commercial value. 1743 O Lovely used collection to about 1925 neatly hinged on album pages, not only are there better stamps to be found, but there is a plethora of shades, cancels, plate varieties, etc., as this was collected in a specialized nature, for instance the 3c 1851 Issue is represented by over 50 copies, with a variety of shades, cancels, plate scratches, etc., and all other issues are similarly collected, with the lower values generally in large quantities, particularly the Large Bank Note issues, which contain many NYFM and other better cancels, plus there are high values present (90c Bank Notes, $5.00 Bureau, etc.), some better Washington-Franklins as well as early commemoratives, useful back-of-the-book, particularly the Treasury Dept. officials, which are represented by over 150 stamps, condition is slightly mixed, but on the whole an outstanding collection with many attractive fine-very fine stamps throughout. 1744 ogO High cataloging collection to 1986 in two Lighthouse hingeless albums, early issues mostly used including #1-2 and other high value items, there is some mint starting around 1890 and includes the Columbian and Trans-Mississippi sets complete, plus Bureau issues to $5.00 mint or used, some mint Washington-Franklins, from 1920 on it is highly complete including the White Plains sheet, air posts complete including an attractive Graf Zeppelin set, plus complete mint Offices in China and parcel posts, as well as useful postage dues, officials, newspaper stamps and other back-of-the-book, even a few proofs, wide range of condition and centering, from stamps with faults to fine-very fine never hinged, therefore examination is essential to fine the true value. 1746 ogO Useful mint and used collection in a well filled Scott National album, with many hundreds of mint and used stamps from the 1851 Issue to 1962, early issues mainly used and include a selection of early classics, many being well centered or having better cancels, 1869 Pictorials complete used (less 24c), over 50 used Large Bank Notes with some fancy cancels, Columbians used to 50c and mint $1.00, $3.00 and $4.00, Trans-Mississippi complete used (4c mint), an attractive mint #312, plenty of Washington-Franklins, including mint #378 graded XF 90 by PSE, several Kansas-Nebraskas, modern virtually complete n.h., back-of-the-book with air posts mostly complete plus postage dues, officials and special deliveries, some small faults to be expected in earlies, much is generally fine-very fine with choice stamps throughout. 1747 ogO Mint and used accumulation neatly laid out in six stockbooks, 1845-1948, well packed with lower and medium priced stamps, with some higher values also present (such as a single and pair of #1), 19th century nearly all used, 20th century has some useful mint along with duplicated used stamps, also back-of-the-book including cut squares, revenues and possessions, Hunting Permits including two #RW1 on licenses (one form 3333), mixed condition but the value certainly adds up. 1748 O 7/24 Specialized One Cent 1851-57 Issues group of over 100 used stamps including a few multiples and covers, 38 items are accompanied by certificates from Richard Doporto in which he identifies the plate and positions (these are mostly #7 or #9), plus a few others that he says are fakes, most of the rest are #24's, but does include #9 triple transfer, one inverted (PF certificate), mixed condition, should be useful for the plating specialist.
