1908 MISSENT to MOUNT-PLEASANT-NS (Cumberland County1869-1917), postcard mailed from the Thompson-Station-NS (Cumberland County 1895-1919) train station and addressed to West-Hansford-NS (Cumberland County 1884-1914) only 4 miles away, accidentally put on the train noting a TRURO & ST-JOHN Mail Car West transit h/s dated DEC28,1908,, the problem was not caught by the RPO clerk until the train arrived at Mount-Pleasant-NS noting a split ring receiver h/s on DEC 29th, there were no trains during the New Year holiday and the card was reposted on JAN 2nd back to Thompson-Station by train where it was finally hand delivery to Hansford, a neat routing and VF Mount Pleasant cancel est ($55+ US) (Image)
