IV (9), large margins to clear (slightly overlaps pair), tied by grid cancels, red "New Orleans La. Oct. 21" (1855) circular datestamp on blue folded letter to Bordeaux, France, red "New York Am. Packet Oct. 31" circular datestamp, Calais transit, neat "8" decimes due handstamp, transit and arrival backstamps, Very Fine, scarce use, most letters were sent at the less expensive British Packet rate, ex LeBow, with 2005 P.F. certificate (Image)
