Three Mint N.H. strips of six, each with neat Washington D.C. precancel, including one with joint line pair at center showing gap in precancel on the joint line, one with gap in precancel at center, one with uninterrupted lines in precancel, rich colors

EXTREMELY FINE. A RARE MINT NEVER-HINGED JOINT LINE STRIP OF THE 2-1/2 CENT BUNKER HILL WITH SMALL HOLES, ACCOMPANIED BY TWO OTHER STRIPS.

Scott Catalogue notes this is only known with a Bureau precancel. Scott Retail as joint line pair and pairs without premium for the precancel gap (Image)

VERY FINE AND CHOICE. A BEAUTIFUL SOUND AND CENTERED USED EXAMPLE OF THE PERF 12 JOHN PAUL JONES ISSUE. VERY FEW ARE KNOWN IN USED CONDITION.

This issue was printed by the American Bank Note Company and perforated in three different formats: Perf 11 x 12 (Scott 1789), Perf 11 All Around (Scott 1789A) and Perf 12 All Around (Scott 1789B). It is believed that the USPS was unaware that there were different perforations. The Perf 12 All Around is by far the rarest and used copies are particularly rare.
