Mint N.H. block of four, bright colors, slight wrinkle at top and diagonal crease thru right vertical pair, single toned perf at top (none of which are mentioned on the accompanying certificate)

VERY FINE AND EXCEPTIONALLY RARE MULTIPLE OF THE 2-PENCE ADMIRALTY OFFICIAL. VERY FEW MULTIPLES ARE THOUGHT TO EXIST.

In 1903, shortly after the initial printings were done by De La Rue, it was noticed that the electrotype was damaged. It was subsequently remade in a slightly thicker type with narrower setting. The most noticeable difference is the downward middle section of the "M" which is shorter.
