VERY FINE. A HIGHLY DESRIABLE EXAMPLE OF THE 1901 3-PFENNIGS SURCHARGED BISECT, THE "VINETA" PROVISIONAL.

A total of 600 bisects were produced by the Commander of the ship Vineta to alleviate a shortage of 3pf stamps. The shortage occurred partly due to a large portion of the crew wanting to send home newspapers reporting the celebration of the Kaiser's birthday.
