A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 1863 2-CENT DARK BLUE ON BLUISH PAPER NUMERAL ISSUE CANCELLED IN SAN FRANCISCO.

The 2c Numeral was intended for and typically used on local or inter-island mail. The presence of the San Francisco cancel on this example indicates it was used to make up part of the Hawaiian 5c rate.
