On about 80 old auction lot cards, with representation from all of the Large Bank Note issues, including several grilled, higher values from the National and Continental printings which carry a high catalogue value, various American Bank Note Co. issues including two No. 211B, there are no gum, part original gum, and full original gum stamps, centering varies but does include some Very Fine, some with faults (mostly small), the catalogue value is quite high, as even the most conservative method of cataloguing will come up with a figure well in excess of $50,000.00

One binder containing 20 off-cover stamps and over 20 covers, nearly all are second type mules ranging in dates of use from the 1880's to late 90's, most of the covers are from Port Townsend WA with some from Forbestown CA (these are mostly poor strikes), stamps bearing mule cancels incl. Nos 187 (P.F. certificate), 189, 209, five Postage Dues and 3c Interior and 12c War Officials, some of the frankings on cover are unusual as well, also there is correspondence from Lee Cornell, writer and publisher of The Tale of the Kicking Mule (copy of his booklet accompanies), quality somewhat mixed, still largely Fine-Very Fine, an excellent foundation for expansion and eventual exhibition, fascinating lot
