VERY FINE AND CHOICE EXAMPLE OF THE 1863 24-CENT LILAC IN SOUND, CENTERED, ORIGINAL-GUM CONDITION.

Although the 24c 1861-66 Issue exists in large quantities of used stamps and a fair quantity of off-center original-gum examples, all of the shades are rare in higher grades with original gum.
