Newfoundland, Balance of the 1865-90 Issues. 40 stamps with only slight duplication (usually for shades), each stamp was handpicked for centering, margins and freshness, many of these were purchased individually at auction, where Dr. Killien often had to pay well over catalogue value, this time period is particularly difficult to find well-centered stamps, especially in Mint N.H. condition, incl. a Fine example of the 1890 3c Slate on red-tinted paper that was not counted in the catalogue value, all are Very Fine and majority are Extremely Fine, incl. several choice Gems, mainly Mint N.H., offerings of this many stamps from the time period in select quality are almost never found, nine Greene Foundation certificate accompany, Unitrade C$9,500.00
