Tied by Zanzibar Jan. 10, 1905 squared-circle cancels on cover with "Consular Service, U.S.A." corner card, accompanying three-page letter with the same Consular letterhead from "Mason" to Fred Ross in New York, interesting letter mentions the "mighty victory" of Theodore Roosevelt's re-election, the record clove crop on Zanzibar, his upcoming trip to Victoria Falls, and hope of big game hunting, how hard it is to find an elephant to hunt "elephants are not chipmunks sitting around every bush", and that several men had been killed trying to hunt an elephant, also mentions the Spanish-American War, cover with light backstamp and opened at left, Fine (Image)
