Paste-up pair, right stamp with part imprint on paste-up tab, original gum, h.r., vivid color, left stamp small thin spot at bottom, Fine appearance, this early coil was stripped into rolls by hand (the paste-up is where one strip was joined with the other), most unusual as a paste-up pair with the part imprint, a prized rarity for the coil specialist, with 2013 P.F. certificate (Image)

A FRESH AND VERY FINE EXAMPLE OF THE RARE 8-CENT ON BLUISH PAPER.

According to Johl (Vol. 1, page 175), the only source of the 4c and 8c Bluish paper stamps was the archives of the Post Office Department. Approximately 80 of each were traded for rare stamps missing from the archives.
