6620   France Specialized Collection of the 1854 20c Blue Napoleon. Over 2,000 used stamps and over 500 covers of the 1854 20c Blue (Scott 15; Yvert 14), with all the different types, shades and paper colors, most are arranged in two annotated albums, many are noted as to printing, shade, plate variety, paper color, etc., incl. many of the scarcer color shades, also a large number of cancels (both on and off cover), with a very wide range, incl. some used abroad, stamp multiples incl. a strip of five, a block of four, several strips of four and many pairs, most covers are solo franking, but there are a fair number of pairs and some impressive strips of four on cover, the covers incl. a few uses from Algeria and other colonies, also some uses to foreign destinations, one desirable feature of the collection is that nearly all the off cover stamps are four margins, incl. several superb large margin examples, even the cover are well above average in quality, overall Very Fine, this would be an ideal lot for someone wanting to start a very specialized collection of just one affordable stamp

6621   France Comprehensive Collection, 1849-1999. Housed in five beautiful home-made albums with write-ups, 19th Century is mainly used, though a few unused stamps also present, incl. the high cataloging stamps such as 1849 15c Green and two 1fr (both with clear P.F. certificates), 1853 1fr, 1879 5fr Napoleon, and unused 1871 10c on 10c, 20th Century is nearly all unused and just about complete, incl. Definitives, Commemoratives (incl. 1929 Le Havre overprint with P.F. certificate), Semi-Postals incl. 1917-19 Set to 5fr, Air Post lacking only the Ile de France set for completion, all of the souvenir sheets are present, plus many booklets and panes, there are also some covers scattered throughout, condition is a little mixed on the 19th Century, though better than usually encountered, the 20th Century is largely Fine-Very Fine, with the more modern issues often Mint N.H.
