FINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE BISECT, USED DURING A SHORTAGE OF ONE-PENNY STAMPS. ONE OF THE IMPORTANT POSTAL HISTORY RARITIES OF THE GOLD COAST. ESPECIALLY RARE USED FROM AXIM.

The destination, Elmina, also contains a fort erected by the Portuguese, in 1482. It figured prominently in the slave trade and is the oldest European building in existence below the Sahara. This bisect is mostly known used at Cape Coast Castle, Quittah, Salt Pond, Secondee or Winnebah.
