1406   image1870 (Nov. 23), Ballon Monté, La Ville d'Orléans, the manuscript date inside is 23 Nov 1870, and the departure date stamp is Paris (60) of the Bureau Central 23 November 1870 6th collection, the only backstamp is a railway transit date stamp, it is addressed to Orbec in Calvados and that is the department of that train service, the cover is heavily water damaged and all stamps have been lost, there are signs where the stamps and original cancellation had been, the "PP" would have been applied in transit back in France, a wonderful historic item, F.-V.F.
