1386   imagePortugal, Premium Quality Nearly Complete All Mint Collection, 1855-1978. On clean fresh Scott pages, easily the finest we've seen in years. Only some rare classics, the Prince Henry, St. Anthony, Neto and first Air sets, which often appear as single lots, aren't present. Of the early cameos, present are #7, 11-14, and identified reprints of #1, 3-4, & 10. The 1866 to 1978 period, #17 to 1414, is complete less #32, 49, & 62. Souvenir sheets and back-of-the book are also complete, less #C1-10. Particularly outstanding are 1895 Carlos Mouchon key types, the difficult 1910-30 Ceres issues and their overprints, and the fresh crisp Lusiadas & Caravel issues. Exhibition quality centering and freshness compliment the high completion level, which should be seen to be appreciated. As expected, everything after 1950 appears never hinged. Apparently held untouched in a controlled environment for over 30 years, the total catalog value is about evenly divided between Kingdom (pre-1912) and Republic eras. This spectacular opportunity for a serious collector is unlikely to reappear any time soon., generally Very Fine to Extremely Fine with many superb.

1394   imagePortuguese Colonies: Azores and Districts, Premium Quality Nearly Complete All Mint Collection, 1868-1931. Premium quality nearly complete all mint collection to 1931 on clean fresh Scott pages, certainly one of the best we've ever seen. The Angra, Horta & Ponta Delgada district collections ARE complete. The Ceres issues have an amazingly seldom seen freshness, as done nearly every other stamp in this collection.
