Powerful collection on Scott Specialty album pages; starts with 25 different 4-margin large Hermes heads including #7, 11, 21, 29, 30, 32, 39, 45 & 49a. These are followed by nearly complete small Hermes heads (lacking only #86 & 116) and nearly complete 1900 surcharges (lacking only 139, 149 & 164). The 1901-1974 period is equally impressive, being 99% including 184-213, 288B, 298, etc. Airmails are complete, with the 1933 Zeppelins and #C38-47 & C67-73 being never hinged; Back-of-the-Book issues are also strong and include postage dues (J27), Postal Tax and Occupation/Annexation issues. Condition, except for a few inconspicuous flaws on some of the earlies, is just about all o.g., clean and Fine to Very Fine. A fantastic lot.

One man's lifetime affair with this popular issue, housed in two albums, starts with Belgium Printing mint copies of #64 including two blocks of four, used pair and strip of five, 66 with several mint singles, mint block of four, two used pairs, 67 with mint block of four, 68 mint block of four, 69 with eight mint singles, 70 with four mint singles and four used pairs, 72 with five mint singles and used block of six, block of four and three strips of three, Belgium perfed issues includes 87 two mint and three used, 88 pair used imperf between, 81 mint block of six with double perfs, a few 13½ perfs, then Athens printing imperf with shades of 90 and 90a, upper right pane of fifty, lower center pane of fifty, lower left pane of fifty, 91 in mint block of twelve and used block of twenty, 92 in mint block of fifteen, and many shades, 93 mint block of six, mint strip of three, with a wide range of shades, 94 mint block of ten, again with nice range of shades, and that is just the first album!!! second album has 96 used block of ten, page of color trials, two bisects on cover, pair of 92 with double impression, mint pair 110, with many shades and imperf between pair, this is a once i a lifetime opportunity, please plan on spending sufficient time to peruse this delectable lot, o.g., Fine to Very Fine.

An impressive, intact collection in two Scott Specialty albums; 19th century starts with a well centered, o.g. #1 followed by such better numbers as #7-12, 34, 65, 67 to the end with the only missing stamp of any significance being #467; Semi-Postals & Airmails are also virtually complete including most of the souvenir sheets, and the Back-of-the-Book issues are nearly all included; plus, there are a good number of imperfs from the early 1950s. As for condition, other than the engraved First Issue, which is a bit mixed, is just about all o.g., clean and Fine to Very Fine with never hinged beginning in 1961 and also including several earlier never hinged surprises, like C24-24 & C66. A fabulous lot.
