1587 /o   Impressive and valuable U.S. regular issue collection, meticulously assembled collection of regular issues from 1847 to 1956 displayed on Lindner hingless album pages, formed by a collector with an eye for quality, highlighted by attractive examples of #1 and 2, 10c with manuscript cancellation, plus an additional 5c 1847 on a handsome folded letter to Buffalo, NY tied by red grid cancel and adjacent "Pittsburgh, Pa." cds, plus nice copies of #12, 14-15, and 17, the 1857 issue features handsome used examples of 29, 30A, and 37, plus an attractive unused (no gum) #38, the 1861 issue is particularly choice with lovely used examples of 67-73, with a 72 tied to small piece by a striking blue town cancellation, and an unused #78 with part o.g., the 1869 Pictorials are nearly complete, 112-117, 119-122, with a gorgeous mint #113 with huge boardwalk margins, and choice used examples of the 24c to 90c Lincoln, the 1870 Banknote issues are well represented, many with fancy or colored cancels, there's 219-229 complete used, a nice group of 1894-1898 Bureau issues, including 261 and 262, Washington Franklins issues mostly complete used, a nice set of 1929 Kansas-Nebraska overprints, and a select group of high value Presidential plate blocks, 832 (4), 833 (1), and 834 (2) all nice N.H. examples, we noticed a few faults on the earlier issues, but overall a well above average collection with catalog value over $30,000.
