Cover bearing G.B. 1877 2½d, plate 8, horizontal pair tied by "Irvine, DE 26 77" duplex, "MISSENT-TO / CH TOWN P.E.I." two-line handstamp, reverse with Charlottetown (1.9) and Pictou Ont. (1.14) arrival cds; partial flap missing, right 2½d faulty at right, F.-V.F.

The cover is addressed to "Picton, Prince Edward Co., Canada West" and confusion arose. Prepaid 5d at two-times the 2½d per ½ oz. rate effective October 1, 1875.
